July 15, 2024 – Prince George, BC – Takom Exploration Ltd. is pleased to announce an updated website showcasing two new greenfield projects in Central British Columbia: Bass Copper Porphyry and Carp Lithium (Copper) Pegmatite.

    The Bass Project is a copper-porphyry target identified as FSJ8 in a Geoscience BC paper. The area of interest overlies a doughnut-shaped magnetic anomaly approximately 7 km in diameter. An initial biogeochemical survey shows copper, gold, and platinum anomalies consistent with a Mount Milligan-style Copper-Gold Porphyry: 1.1 ppb gold with a background level (BL) of 0.3 ppb, 23 ppb silver with BL 15 ppb, 4330 ppb copper with BL 2857, and 2.7 platinum with BL <0.2 ppb.

    The Carp Project is a potential lithium (copper) target that sits on an 8 km magnetic low between 2 regionally mapped faults with regional stream sediment values between 70 and 80 ppm copper. A preliminary biogeochemical survey in 2022 revealed copper and gold anomalies consistent with previous soil surveys as well as high contrast anomalies for silver, lead, zinc, cobalt, molybdenum, lithium, niobium, tantalum and the light rare earth elements: 5.5 ppb gold with BL 0.3 ppb, 4220 ppb copper with BL 2842 ppb, 103 ppb silver with BL 27 ppb, 3800 ppb lead with BL 257 ppb, 1770 ppb cobalt with BL 215 ppb, 280 ppb lithium with BL 40 ppb, 1.8 ppb tantalum with BL 0.5 ppb.

    The Proof Project is a gold-silver-caesium low sulfidation epithermal target. A biogeochemical survey in Fall of 2022 announced the Silvertree Zone: a 4-kilometre silver-in-twig anomaly with values ranging from 20 to 34 ppb silver and 0.4 to 2.7 ppb platinum. Work conducted in Fall of 2023 included rock sampling of the western area, 12 km from the Nechako Gold-Silver Project, and extensive geological and geochemical compilations:

 

  • Biogeochemistry: Correlation analysis suggests the presence of a gold-platinum-bismuth core surrounded by a silver-calcium-potassium-sodium-vanadium halo. Pathfinder elements and alkali metals at the edges further indicate potential mineralization associated with hydrothermal systems, volcanic activity, or intrusive bodies.

  • Geological Setting: The presence of volcanic rocks, bladed quartz veins, and alteration zones such as hematite-sericite alteration suggests a geological environment conducive to mineralization, possibly of epithermal or mesothermal origin.

    The 905 hectare Proof Project is the inaugural project for Takom Exploration and is 100%-owned. The project area boasts easy access throughout the mineral tenures via a network of newly created resource roads (2018) as well as nearby railway (25 kilometers) and power lines (10 kilometres).

     The claim was initially staked Spring of 2018 to cover the centre of a large, 30 kilometre in length, caesium anomaly in lodgepole pine outer bark. Takom Exploration further researched the anomaly and launched reconnaissance exploration programs designed to evaluate the potential of the area. The programs revealed  a 935 metre, gold-in-twig anomaly with supporting halos of Ag, Cs, Sb, Tl,  and V and a 4 km, silver-in-twig anomaly with platinum.
